By the end, the learner can

• Accountability for field decisions: owns the outcomes of site management decisions, communicating mistakes and corrective actions directly to project stakeholders
• Integrity in reporting: presents accurate project status, cost forecasts, and risk assessments to leadership and clients even when findings are unfavorable
• Confidentiality stewardship: protects proprietary client design information, bid data, and contract terms in compliance with professional and organizational standards

Session plan

1. 10 minReading the four levelsWhere this shows up: construction sites and outdoor job sites, working with supervisors, crew members, other trades. Conditions to expect: safety-sensitive, physically demanding, variable site conditions. Entry roles this maps to: Boilermakers, Brickmasons and Blockmasons, Carpenters.

2. 20 minSelf-rating with evidenceWork the task on your own first. Support is available, but ask for it out loud so the group hears what got you stuck.

3. 15 minInstructor or peer ratingScored live against the four levels. The scorer marks what they saw, not what they assume the learner could do on a better day. Developing is the target for this point in the program: Moving in a positive direction in a professional career. Still learning, with room to grow around the skill.
4. 10 minReconcile and set one goalClose the loop: what changed between the first attempt and the last, and what would have to be true for character to hold up on a bad day.
