Cold recall: terms, tolerances, and the rules you don't get to look up
Move the sector's non-negotiables from "I could find that" to "I know that", because on the floor there is no lookup step.
Why this design
Short, repeated, spaced recall until it's automatic. Safety rules, terminology, tolerances, codes — content that must be recalled cold.
What this evidences

By the end, the learner can
- Active listening skills: demonstrate during student-instructor interactions to correctly interpret questions and concerns in a classroom environment.
- Circulation transactions: perform check-out, check-in, renewal, and hold processing under direct supervision using library management software in a public or academic library.
- Routine reference inquiries: respond to basic in-person and telephone questions by following established reference protocols and directing patrons to librarians when queries exceed scope.
Where the technique itself comes from
This module builds the judgment around the task — the standard it has to meet, what to verify, what to hand off, and where it goes wrong. It does not teach the technique. Learning to transfer a patient safely, disinfect a scope, or run a weld comes from supervised practice and your program's own training, and this assessment measures whether you have it rather than replacing it.
Nobody has attached training for this sector yet. An instructor can add it under the sector's resources, and it will appear here for every participant.
