By the end, the learner can
- Dressing and grooming assistance: support patients with dressing, hair care, and personal grooming tasks using safe handling techniques learned in entry-level training.
- Active listening during patient interaction: recognize and report changes in a patient's mood, complaints, or expressed needs to the supervising case manager.
- Electronic health record entry: enter basic patient care data into medical software or agency databases following data-entry guidelines provided during onboarding.
Where the technique itself comes from
This module builds the judgment around the task — the standard it has to meet, what to verify, what to hand off, and where it goes wrong. It does not teach the technique. Learning to transfer a patient safely, disinfect a scope, or run a weld comes from supervised practice and your program's own training, and this assessment measures whether you have it rather than replacing it.
