The method: enforce safety and sanitation regulations

Get the sector's most common procedural work right the first time, including the documentation that has to travel with it.

Target level: Emerging Just beginning to learn or acquire the skill.

Why this design

Watch it done, do it with support, then do it clean. Procedural work with a correct method — documentation, setup, handoffs, tools.

What this evidences

  • core×1 at Emerging

By the end, the learner can

  • Moisture and contamination in damaged window areas: recognize and report to a lead technician before repair work begins.
  • Replacement windshields and windows: retrieve from stock and perform a basic visual defect inspection under direction.
  • Urethane curing requirements: follow posted time and temperature guidelines under supervision after glass installation.

Where the technique itself comes from

This module builds the judgment around the task — the standard it has to meet, what to verify, what to hand off, and where it goes wrong. It does not teach the technique. Learning to transfer a patient safely, disinfect a scope, or run a weld comes from supervised practice and your program's own training, and this assessment measures whether you have it rather than replacing it.

Nobody has attached training for this sector yet. An instructor can add it under the sector's resources, and it will appear here for every participant.

Session plan

  1. 20 minThe methodWhere this shows up: manufacturing plants and production floors, working with supervisors, production coworkers, quality staff. Conditions to expect: process-driven, quality-controlled, repetitive. Entry roles this maps to: Adhesive Bonding Machine Operators and Tenders, Aircraft Structure, Surfaces, Rigging, and Systems Assemblers, Automotive Body and Related Repairers.
    • follow supervisor instructions to align and position substrates accurately before adhesive application on a production line.
From Adhesive Bonding Machine Operators and Tenders (51-9191.00)
  2. 25 minWorked exampleDemonstrate material alignment and positioning as a adhesive bonding machine operators and tender would do it. The technique is yours to teach — this plan covers the judgment around it, so narrate the decision points out loud and name which parts were judgment and which were procedure.
    • Do it once at working pace so the shape is visible.
    • Do it again, stopping at each point where a different call was possible.
    • Name the one mistake that costs the most here, and why it's tempting.
From Adhesive Bonding Machine Operators and Tenders (51-9191.00)
  3. 30 minYou try itWork the task on your own first. Support is available, but ask for it out loud so the group hears what got you stuck.
    • Tools in play: Spreadsheet software, Office suite software, Electronic mail software.
  4. 15 minCheck and correctClose the loop: what changed between the first attempt and the last, and what would have to be true for the work itself to hold up on a bad day.
